Batteries

Rechargeable batteries are familiar in cell phones, cordless power tools, laptops and MP3 players. But common AA, AAA, C, D and 9-volt batteries also have rechargeable versions for use with digital cameras, flashlights and remote controls. These standard nickel-cadmium (NiCd) or nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries are recharged with simple electrical adapters that plug into any wall outlet. Most rechargeable AA, AAA, C and D batteries supply 1.2-volt versus the 1.5-volt supplied by disposable batteries, but this doesn't usually matter outside high-speed applications.
